Glee-ful Spoilers on Finchel, Santana, 'An Unlikely Duo,' a 'Breakout Performance' and 'Naked' Men!

Glee Season 4 SpoilersYou asked, the Glee stars answered.
Prior to swinging by Fox’s party at the Television Critics Association winter press tour in Pasadena, TVLine invited you to tweet us your questions for the cast. Without the slighest bit of further ado, here is what Lea Michele, Naya Rivera and others shared about what’s still ahead in Season 4, resuming Jan. 24.

Any hints/anticipations on the #Glee episode “Diva,” especially on Santana’s role and Brittana? –@cameoloverx
Though she wouldn’t let slip any specific song titles, Naya Rivera told me “I get to sing three songs in ‘Diva,’ which is a big episode for Santana” — though she is not the one and only focus of the title. “There are a lot of divas in the episode!” she laughed. Rivera also said Santana will take on a Tina Turner tune and share “big, exciting news” soon. On the romantic front, “She’s still trying to deal with the fact that Brittany and Sam are now dating,” Rivera shared. “That’s where her head’s at.”

Will we find out why exactly Tina and Mike broke up? And if they will get back together? –@lindseyannexo
“That’s a good question,” Harry Shum Jr. nodded “We’re only halfway through [the season], so I’m sure we’ll find out a little more.” In the meantime, it sounds like Tina might give Mike (and/or any other gentleman callers) a lot to think about on Feb. 7. “Jenna Ushkowitz has an insane number in ‘Diva,’” raves castmate Becca Tobin, who plays Kitty. “It’s like her breakout performance of Season 4. She kills it.”

Can you ask if Finn and Rachel have any scenes coming up together? –@blakeandcory
When I asked Lea Michele, who like the others is in the midst of shooting Episode 13 aka “Diva,” if she and Cory Monteith had shot any scenes together yet, she reported, “Not yet — but hopefully soon!”

Is there any hope for Finchel fans? –@vkaro21
If the above quote didn’t deflate your sails enough, you may not want to read the following. (Or maybe you will, depending on how you wish to spin it.) “There are some really interesting Brody-and-Rachel shockers coming,” Michele shared. When I asked if said “shockers” will put Finchel fans even more on edge, she would only say: “Well, that’s the exciting thing about the show — it’s like a rollercoaster.”

Can we hope to see some of the “old” cast join Lea [Michele] and Chris [Colfer] in NYC? –@jinayg
Rivera, with a big (and oh-so-lovely) smile, hinted that Santana “maybe” will also make the move to the Big Apple. “It’s a strong possibility.”

Any news on Season 4 stories/arcs? –@ShowThemWhat
As in, what did I hear that didn’t fall into any of the above topics? Melissa Benoist said things are looking “much more hopeful” for Marley as she deals with her eating disorder, while on the romantic front the newbie will need to “step up her game and show Jake how much she cares about him.” Perhaps to that end, Benoist will tackle “a Christina Perri song that I absolutely love and “is romantic. Very romantic.”

The first new episode back, “Sadie Hawkins,” was a hot topic for others. Vanessa Lengies said the girl-asks-guy dance “starts off rough” for Sugar, though “she really turns it around, finds herself and she asks who she wants in the end.” Kitty, meanwhile, will zero in on one fella after spending the first half of the season shopping around. “She usually does the ‘Flavor of the Week’ thing, but there’s a strong flavor at Sadie Hawkins,” Tobin told me. “I think people are going to like it. It’s an unlikely duo.”

Lastly, Episode 12, “Naked,” focuses on the fellas as they get involved in “a little fundraiser fun for the glee club,” Tobin teased. “It’s very much about the boys getting buff and tanned and bronzed… Chord [Overstreet, as Sam] really spearheads the ‘beefcake’ number, and it’s pretty hilarious.”

Who’s Behind Lea Michele’s Sexy ‘Glee’ Makeover?

Lea Michele promised us a Glee makeover — and a Glee makeover we’ve seen!

The actress, who plays college freshman Rachel Berry on the show, says her character has had a sexy style upgrade this year, and she owes it all toGlee creator Ryan Murphy.

“It was Ryan’s idea to do this shift for Rachel, having her become a little more grown up, a little more New York,” Michele told PEOPLE recentlywhile working with Candie’s. “I basically pick out the outfits with our costume designer, and we take all of the photos to Ryan to approve. It’s really collaborative.”

But it goes beyond the costumes: Rachel’s hair and makeup are more major, too, again, thanks to Murphy.

“He’s so involved with everything — what shoes I wear, what kind of eyeliner I put on,” she says. “I don’t know how he does it. He has so many shows, but still finds the time to help with this.”

And though we’ve been loving Rachel’s sensual smoky eyes this season, Michele says that’s probably her least favorite part of her character’s new look. “I’ve been trying to tone that down a little bit,” she admits. “It’s a b*tch to take off at night!” Tell us: Are you loving Rachel Berry’s revamped look? Or did you prefer her high school makeup and clothes?

Ask Ausiello Spoilers!

Question: How long will Matthew Morrison be off Glee? —Jenna
Ausiello: Just a handful of episodes, I’m told. Long enough for Finn to get comfortable filling in for Will as choir director — a little too comfortable, if you know what I mean. Teases exec producer Brad Falchuk: “Will’s going to come back and there may be a little competition between them.” Bonus Glee Scoop/Riddle: Sue will soon be privy to a secret involving Mrs. Rose (a.k.a. Marley’s mom).

Ask Ausiello Spoilers!

Question: What’s the story behind the Brittany-Sam wedding photo that Glee boss Ryan Murphy tweeted last week? Are they getting married? —Rich

Ausiello: Can’t confirm a wedding. But I can confirm a one-sided crush. Bonus scoop: I have an answer to the question I posed at the end of this recent Glee story (Might Tyler’s character have a run-in with the other Mrs. Puckerman, a.k.a. the mother of Jake’s half-brother Puck [Mark Salling], who has appeared on and off since Season 1 [as played by actress Gina Hecht]?), and that answer is yes.

Question: Give us the biggest Glee scoop you have right now. —Suzanne

Ausiello: Wow. Talk about pressure. Um…. A character I never thought I’d see on the show again is returning. How’s that?

Ask Ausiello Spoilers!

Question: Anything about Glee, please?! —Amanda
Ausiello: Stop me if you heard this one before: Finn is going to fill in for D.C.-bound Mr. Schue as choir director for a few episodes. “We sort of shake up the glee club a little bit,” teases exec producer Brad Falchuk. “What always works on this show is when people are the underdogs. So, how do we make [New Directions] underdogs again? Well, obviously, you clear out a lot of the people who were the top dogs. But also you have a new person coaching them going into Sectionals that doesn’t know what he’s doing. This is all new to him. It seemed like a way to freshen up things a little bit.”

Question: I mean, I love Happy Endings and all. It’s one of my favorite comedies right now. But I am really tired of you dispensing Happy Endings scoops instead of what people are actually looking for. First there was a question about Max Adler’s character on Glee, then the Doctor Who thing… I would have liked an answer for both of those questions instead of being teased. So, since it seems like you are just fishing for people to ask — got any scoop on Happy Endings? —Megan
Ausiello: If I’ve told you once, I’ve told you 6 million times — there are no plans for Max Adler to return to Glee at this time. But if it’s a Glee scoop you want, it’s a Glee scoop you’ll get: The show’s Thanksgiving episode finds much of the original crew getting together at BreadstiX for a reunion — but two notable alums are MIA: Kurt and Rachel. Will they put in an appearance? Will they blow them off? I can confirm that it’s either the first one or the second one.

Question: Please share anything you can about what’s going on with Kurt and Blaine on Glee! —Joey
Ausiello: Blaine keeps texting him. Kurt keeps ignoring those texts. That’s about it.

E!Online Spoilery Chat!

Jonny: When will we find out who Sue's baby daddy is on Glee? And do you have any scoop on who it is?
We don't know, Jane Lynch doesn't know, and she doesn't even think the writers know! "We're on episode eight and it hasn't even been mentioned yet, so we'll find out," she tells us. "I don't think the writers [know]. I don't think they've decided yet." But while she's waiting to announce the father of her baby, Sue will be back to her old tricks in an upcoming episode. "One of the kids uses a disparagingly mark—but in innocence, but I don't take it that away of course, to describe my brand-new baby and I just set out to destroy that person. So I'm back on the rampage." Who do you think will be on the receiving end of Coach Sylvester's rage?

Riley: When is Max Adler going to return to Glee? If Grant Gustin is coming back because Sebastian still has more story to tell, how can Dave, the boy last seen crying in the hospital after a suicide attempt, not have more story to tell? We have been waiting over eight months now.....Plus, Dave still hasn't sung! Thank you.
Sorry, Karofsky fans, but as of right now, there are no plans to bring back Max Adler, at least before the new year. But they are still writing season four, and we hear that both parties are open to having the character come back for an episode or two, if it suits the storyline. When we asked Adler about returning back in February, he told us: "I would love it. To have experienced that life and to have this role has just been incredible, and I think it's really important for people to see it."

Teddy: Glee spoilers, please….not about Finchel. No offense to fans.
We're sure the Finn and Rachel fans will allow a Glee spoiler not related to their favorite couple. So, let's go to Melissa Benoist to hear about Marley's love life in upcoming episodes. "Right now, she's in the middle of two separate love triangles," she tells us. "She's got some great choices. She meets Ryder, [played by] Blake Jenner, in episode five and there's definitely some chemistry there. But Jake Puckerman…I think Marley has a special place in her heart for him." So does she end up picking one or the other? "There are some love scenes. I've kissed someone. That's all I'll say," Benoist teases.

'Glee's' Ryan Murphy Planning Two Tribute Episodes, Valentine's Wedding!

Mashups, Duets and More
The Fox musical -- which has already paid tribute to Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Whitney Houston, Madonna and Britney Spears (twice) -- isn't done with the hourlong dedications this season.

"We're working on two tribute episodes," co-creator/showrunner Ryan Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter. "I'm not ready to announce yet because it's not clear, but fun stuff."

While details are being kept under wraps, Murphy this season has hinted that he wants to settle the Madonna/Elton John feud that erupted earlier this year. "A big GLEE goal this year: a Madonna/Elton John mashup. #gayhatchetburying," he wrote on Twitter in August.

Tribute episodes have been a mixed bag for the series. The first Spears offering in November 2010 notched a then-series high, topping its Madonna effort. Its 90-minute Lady Gaga entry -- the 18th episode of season two -- registered a season low at the time with a 3.4 rating and 8.6 million viewers. This year's "Britney 2.0" collected a 2.9 in the demo and 7.5 million total viewers.

Murphy -- speaking at the opening of The Hollywood Reporter's Design Hollywood showhouse at The Century as part of THR's inaugural Design Issue for which he was the cover story -- also noted he's plotting a Valentine's Day wedding, declining to provide specifics. (We're looking at you, Will and Emma!)

Also to keep an eye out for: Glee's Christmas episode, which Murphy described as "very emotional.""We've taken characters that you wouldn't expect should be together and put them together," he teased, noting it's done in a very Love Actually fashion.

Ask Ausiello and E!Online Spoilers!

Question: Do you have any idea which Glee members are playing which characters in the Grease musical? —Megan
Ausiello: I’ve got more than an idea — I’ve got the freakin’ cast list right in front of me. Alas, I’ve been sworn to secrecy. I will say that one casting decision will raise eyebrows (not to mention Sue’s hackles).

Question: Is there any hope for Brittana on Glee? Or has that ship sunk? —Ashley B.
Ausiello: What if I told you that there’s an episode coming up during November sweeps where all of the couples that broke up in “The Break-Up” reunite? What if I also told you that there was a twist? Hmm?

source: TV Line

Tami: Any word on a new love interest for Kurt on Glee?We hear that Kurt won't be looking for anyone new after Blaine broke his heart, but someone else from a just-kaput couple will have a new admirer. The only question is: Will the newly single character be admiring back?

source: E!

Mslinative: How about some non-relationship spoilers about Rachel Berry! I miss Glee and I miss seeing and hearing Rachel Berry!
It's time to meet Rachel's newest New York foe! The Fox hit is currently casting the bitch-tastic role of Anna-Marie, an attractive battle dancer who can sing and dance extremely well, like Rachel-level well. Hmmm...could she be replacing Cassandra July as Rachel's dance instructor? The mind reels.

E!Online, TVLine and TvGuide Spoilers!

Stacie23_: Anything on Brittany or Santana or Brittana on GLEE. We were left with some weird breakup out of the blue.
The breakup will certainly get weirder since Santana will be sticking around Lima for a bit, at least long enough to help out with a McKinley High production. "We're doing Grease, and that was fun. I got to participate in that, which was a nice little homecoming," Naya Rivera tells us. But she remained tight lipped on whether Santana will be interacting with Brittany during her Ohio vacay. "Right now, the breakup is still fresh. So I guess we'll see," Rivera says coyly.

source: E!Online

Question: How about some amazing scoop on Quinn’s return on Glee? —Cindy
Ausiello: She’s back in Lima for Thanksgiving and decides to take her successor in bitchery Kitty under her wing, a mentorship Santana has a real problem with. (Turns out the Kitster has been doing something literally and figuratively crappy to Brit.)

Question: Could Finn’s new love interest on Glee possibly be someone we already know, like Mercedes or Tina? — Isaiah
Ausiello: I suppose anything’s possible. But according to exec producer Brad Falchuk, Finn’s post-Rachel romance won’t bloom until around midseason at the earliest. “Certainly not in the first 9 or 10 episodes,” he tells me, adding that the identity of his new admirer remains a mystery — even to him! “We don’t know who it’s going to be yet. But we’re kicking around a few ideas.” Bonus Scoop Riddle: Rachel is going to be less than thrilled when she finds out who’s subbing for Ms. July next month. Guesses? Hit the comments!

I still can't believe Santana and Brittany broke up. Is there any hope on the horizon for my favorite Glee couple? — Sarah
NATALIE: "They are able to stay friends," Naya Rivera tells us. "The way that it was handled, even though it was really sad, everyone was on the same page with it. There isn't any bad blood." That doesn't mean that Santana won't struggle with the decision, which will make her time in Kentucky that much harder. "Santana is lost right now after the breakup, and you could sense in that episode that she wasn't quite happy," Rivera adds. Can we hope that that means that a reconciliation is forthcoming?

E!Online Scoop on Glee!

Glee
Felix: After that last episode, I need some good news for my Glee couples.
Glee is planning a big Thanksgiving episode, which will reunite many of McKinley High alums, and that includes recently broken-up couples. But for now, Finchel fans might want to just accept the fact that for the time being, those two aren't going to be together for a while. Lea Michele confirmed to us that even though she flew home to Ohio to confront him, that's where their interaction ends, and Finn and Rachel will not be speaking or seeing each other at all when Glee returns from hiatus.

TV Line and E!Online Scoops on Glee!

Glee | Boot camp might start looking pretty good to Finn when McKinley High’s onetime gridiron star takes the ball in coaching New Directions (while Will is in D.C. “fighting for the arts”) as well as directing the school play. “Sue is going to have a big problem with him,” Jane Lynch told TVLine at the 2012 Media Access Awards. “He’s innocent, but he says something really stupid to me, and one thing about Sue Sylvester is she never forgets.” Then again, Finn could probably use the distraction of “another woman” – albeit a vitriolic cheerleading coach of a certain age! – in the wake of his break-up with Rachel. “Sue is your greatest advocate, but she’s also your worst enemy,” Lynch stresses, “so Finn is in for it!”
source: TVLine
------------------------------

Nicole: Can you please find out what's going on with Jayma Mays on Glee? Why is she a guest star when she's been a regular for the past three seasons? Please tell me they don't plan on writing her out of the show. Glee would suck without Emma and Wemma.
As far as we know, there are no plans to write anybody off the show. And we agree, Glee would suck without those two, but it sounds like we might have to get used to the show without Wemma, or at the very least, without Will. Based on what Jane Lynch told us recently, Mr. Schue is going to be absent for a bit, perhaps to go to Washington? "Finn is going to take over the glee club for a couple of weeks," she reveals to us. But does Will take his bride-to-be with him? That is scoop for another time, Gleeks.

Ask Ausiello Spoilers!

Question: In Glee‘s “Break-Up” episode, it was left pretty ambiguous what exactly Blaine did with Eli. Was that the intention? Are we to decide for ourselves if it was sex or something less severe? —Matt
Ausiello: Darren Criss tells me he has “his own theory” about the exact nature of Blaine’s infidelity. ”It’s very open-ended,” he concedes. “We don’t know who this person is or what this decision was.” Regardless, Criss hopes that if the “Klaine” split does indeed stick, “I would love to see them be a part of each other’s future relationships…. If Kurt meets someone new and they are having some problems, I hope Blaine is the person that Kurt calls and says, ‘This is really tough for me.’ And vice-versa. If Blaine meets somebody, he goes to Kurt. That happens in real life with all kinds of relationships. You create a bond with somebody and regardless of what happens, in the end the bond is there for the rest of your life. And I think that’s an excellent message to show young people: The end doesn’t mean it’s the end. It’s just a new chapter.”

Question: I have a super-great idea. How about some positive Finchel scoop? How many times can Glee break my heart?! —Lauren
Ausiello: Cory Monteith isn’t giving up on the couple, so neither should you. Asked if he thinks “Finchel” is done for good, he quickly replied. “I don’t. It’s hard when you get attached to someone.” In the meantime, exec producer Brad Falchuk confirms that Finn will eventually get a new love interest. “The idea is yes, it’s interesting to have him find someone,” he says. “I don’t know if it has to happen so soon — certainly not in the first nine or 10 episodes — and we don’t know who it’s going to be yet. But we’re kicking around a few ideas.”

E!Online Scoops!

When Glee's season-four cast photo came out, fans of Quinn Fabray took to Twitter and our comments section to voice their anger: "Where was Dianna Agron?" you yelled. It was an Internet uproar for the ages.

Ryan Murphy made sure to calm fans by insisting that Agron was not off the show, and we've got some scoop that'll ease Quinn fans' worries even further. And since Gossip Girlpremiered last night, we bet you're dying for some info on what comes next. All that, plusRevenge, Homeland, Nikita and more in today's Spoiler Chat:

Angela: Is Dianna Agron off the show for good? If she's not, when will we see her onGlee next?
Even though Quinn has been MIA (and probably will be for a while), Jane Lynch assured us recently that Agron is still on the show and the rumors that she's leaving are just not true. And based on some whispers we hear from sources, Quinn might make a triumphant return to interact with someone that is very familiar to her. You know, a certain blond, bitchy cheerleader whose name rhymes with pretty.

source: E! Online

Orly: I'm loving Glee now because of the addition of Marley! Can you tell me what's coming up with her?
It's a good thing you love Marley so much because we're going to be getting to know her really well in the present, and in the past. That's right, Glee is planning a flashback to Marley's childhood (think 7 or 8 years old). So if you want to see more adorable mother-daughter moments with Marley, then you'll definitely want to stick around!

'Glee' Adds Canadian Actor-Singer as New Lead Warbler!

Nolan Gerard Funk People Like Us Screening - P 2012

Nolan Gerard Funk is putting on the Warblers' blazer.

The Canadian actor-singer is heading to Fox's Glee, where he'll play the new frontman for the all-male Warblers, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
As first reported by TV Line, Funk will play Hunter, first appearing in the seventh episode of the season as the new boss of Blaine's (Darren Criss) former glee club whose chief job is to bring the New Directions heir apparent back into the fold.
Funk's credits  include Nickelodeon's musicalSpectacular! As well as roles onWarehouse 13 and Angels in America.
And for those concerned about Sebastian, Grant Gustin will return to play the apparently former head Warbler.
Funk becomes the latest new face to join the Fox series' fourth season as it continues its creative reboot following the graduations of its core cast. He joins newbies Melissa Benoist, Becca Tobin, Jacob Artist and Glee Project season two winner Blake Jenner on the musical this season.
